The IGT regulator is engineered with an internal calibrated excess-flow check mechanism. Under normal operation, gas flows smoothly at low domestic pressure (30 mbar) to your stove. If the hose ruptures, detaches, or experiences catastrophic gas leakage downstream, the sudden surge in differential pressure causes an internal precision safety ball to slam shut instantly against its valve seat, interrupting 100% of the gas supply directly at the cylinder nozzle.
Yes! All domestic IGT regulators sold by IGT Nepal feature a standard 25.6 mm quick-on snap collar engineered specifically for cylinders used across Nepal, including Nepal Gas, Koshi Gas, Sugam, Everest, Siddhartha, Super, Himal, and Om Gas.
After attaching the regulator and pressing the gold reset button, turn off all burner knobs on your stove with the regulator lever switched ON. Look at the manometer needle position. If the needle remains completely steady, your entire gas line is sealed and 100% airtight. If the needle gradually drops towards zero, there is a micro-leak in your hose or stove connection that must be fixed before lighting a flame.
