7-Step IGT Gas Safety Installation & Testing
Installing your IGT regulator requires zero specialized plumbing tools. Follow our illustrated step-by-step checklist to ensure an airtight, 100% leak-proof connection to any standard Nepal LPG cylinder.
Check Cylinder Valve Neck
Remove the plastic seal cap from your Nepal LPG cylinder. Inspect the internal black rubber O-ring inside the cylinder mouth. If it is cracked, missing, or brittle, replace it with an IGT EPDM certified gasket.
Attach Hose & Clamps
Push the IGT Stainless Steel Armored Hose firmly onto the regulator nozzle. Slide the IGT Heavy-Duty Safety Clamp over the joint and tighten securely using a flat screwdriver. Repeat at the stove inlet nozzle.
Mount Regulator to Cylinder
Ensure the regulator switch lever is in the horizontal OFF position. Lift the black locking collar upward, place the regulator squarely over the cylinder valve neck, and push down firmly until you hear a distinct metallic CLICK.
Switch Regulator ON
Rotate the regulator switch lever 90 degrees upward into the vertical ON position. Gas will now enter the regulator body.
Press Gold Reset Button
Depress the golden brass push-button located on the side or bottom of your IGT regulator for 2 seconds. This equalizes differential pressure and floats the excess-flow safety check ball into operational position.
Perform 60-Second Leak Test
With your stove knobs turned strictly OFF, observe the needle on the IGT manometer gauge. The needle must stay completely motionless for 60 seconds. If the needle slowly drops, tighten your hose clamps before lighting any flame.
